Sigh.... I am so sick of these cable companies with their bait and switch offers, and scammy pricing. Just FYI- Spectrum just increased my 300mbps from $79 to $89. Why would you be charged $16 more for the same thing in the same city?
Google Fiber can't get here fast enough.
Google Fiber is in a struggle, I am not sure they will finish the build out.
I'm the OP and we did switch to AT&T with the 300 mbps deal. We are testing and getting over 350, so we're pleased. They supplied the router, saying it was stronger and it's wrapped into the deal, so I'm fine with that. I find that I'm getting internet signal outdoors and in remote areas of the house that I didn't get with Spectrum.
The AT&T deal is only locked in for a year, but I'm happy we made the move now. I called Spectrum twice trying to get a comparable deal and they just refused to budge.
