I'm a college student at Johnson & Wales University. I've been living on campus for the past two years and now it's time to venture out and find my own apartment or house to rent. The problem is I don't even know where to begin. I've never done anything like this, it's kind of a daunting task.
I'm going to have a roommate so everything will be split, but it can't be too expensive. Is there a specific part of town where college students tend to live that is uptown and close to Johnson & Wales? I know of Ten05 and i'm pretty sure we don't want to live there. Any help getting started would be greatly appeciated!

Thank you!
You'd find a lot to do and many people your age in rentals around Plaza Midwood - do check Craigs List to get started. If you want an apartment complex check out Eastover Ridge on Randolph just near the Mint Museum - LOTS of people your age there. Both these areas would give you an easy commute to Johnson and Wales
what's wrong with Ten05?? (New to the area and seeking apartments uptown...). Saw this place and it was relevantly close to the heart of Charlotte for a cheap price...Noticed that it wasn't the best site across the street...but what's the bad part of the deal here?
