I will be visiting the Charlotte area for the first time and was wondering where are some nice places a cool, single, laid back kind of guy can go. Preferably around the grown and sexy. I'm also an advid recreationalist, so I will be brining my bike and doing some running. Does Charlotte have a city park where I can ride and run (parks, trails, etc.) What about lounges and soul food restaurants? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sum

don't know about soul food but just go uptown for various bars/restaurants/lounges and any of the greenways will do for your biking/jogging.

Merts is good stuff.

My first experience with Soul Food and I loved it!

You should check out the new EpiCenter in uptown, plus Dale Junior's bar "Whiskey River", its all located on the corner of College St and Trade St in uptown. Its laid back early on in the night but gets crazy after 10pm.

Sum- check out Dilworth/Myers Park for your recreational needs. Freedom Park and the "booty loop" is what you are looking for.

If you are into mountain biking, check out the whitewater center.

Hope you have a great time!
