Anyone know of any good moving companies that would be able to move my belongings from Ohio down here to Charlotte? I'm hoping to move it down here this weekend. Thanks!

This weekend? Yikes! You will probably have a hard time finding a company with such short notice. Even local moves can be difficult with that short of a time frame.

You may even have a hard time finding a UHaul to rent. When I moved from MI to NC, I had to drive 2 hours to pick up a UHaul and wait on it, too. I was told they are hard to come by because so many people are moving south. They (UHaul) had to actually send employees down to the southern states to retrieve some vehicles.

Good Luck!

I don't understand why you would live in Charlotte. Stay in MI or find somewhere else to live.

First, OP is from Ohio, not Michigan. Second, your sarcasm doesn't answer the question at hand.

OP, if you were able to find a moving company on short order, you would be paying a premium. Your best bet is to find a Uhaul/Budget/Penske truck and move yourself.

If I remember correctly from my own U-Haul experience, they did ask if I needed movers to show up at my destination to help me move in my furniture. The website (a partner of U-Haul apparently) had a list of provided and some of them had positive/negative feedback. Hopefully this is helpful.

That is none of your business. The OP can move to Charlotte if they so choose.

Not sure about doing it this weekend will probably need more time. ABF is probably the best for Long distance but you will either have to load/unload or hire movers to load/unload.

Default Atlas!

Call Atlas. We had them come out last week for an estimate and they came out, packed and moved us within a week. Evidently business is really slow right now, so it may be do-able. We moved from MD to NC. We have had a great experience with them. Good luck.

And welcome to Charlotte! We love it. It's great down here!

If you have any questions, PM me. Have a good day.

Smiles,
K
