Raleigh made the list. From those whom know far more than I do in this area, any input?

Thanks!

Well......... I'm familiar with the section of Philly that the article cites. That's the University City neighborhood. They would get the same free pass as the research neighborhoods in the Raleigh area, for the same reasons. I'm in the Philly metro area & real estate tanked this summer.

I sold my house quickly by dumping it to an investor. I'd take the article with a grain of salt. They are looking at a tiny portion of Philly & applying it to the whole area. Assume that to be true for the article as a whole.

Default Yep

I agree. I know that area well. I have to say though that the markets have always done better in general then the southern markets at least it seems to me. Most of my friends turned their houses around with in 2-3 yrs. and made on average a $100,000 profit on new construction. After we bought down here we realized that real estate does not go up as quickly even in the hay day of real estate It is funny how different parts of the country work. Right now though real estate sucks everywhere. My friends just bought and sold at a very good time!
