I'm trying to revive an old idea from the summer about perhaps getting the fine CD/Charlotte posters together for a networking lunch. Maybe now is the right time to do this... you never know who you'll meet while networking - maybe you'll find a great job contact!

So... is anyone interested in getting together for lunch on a workday? Let's throw some ideas out there!

Sounds like a good idea.
How will you notify folks when it's set-up? Direct message the responders to this thread???

Let us know when and where! Seems it works best when someone just picks a place and says - y'all come - and then those who can - show up!!!

Great idea, Ctribucher!!!!

Something centrally located might be the new Jason's Deli in the Epicentre. Only thing is, it's a happenin' place at lunch. It's actually better to go closer to 1, as we found out today.

Other places that accommodate a good sized group might be:
- Lola's on Brevard (in the AT&T building)
- Mert's Heart & Soul on College
- Bellacino's in the Bobcat's Arena

These are some places that I frequent and aren't slammed by the banker crowd at noon.

I don't work in Uptown, so I really appreciate those who are able to suggest places for lunch. My DH's idea of a great lunch spot is having a hot dog in the Wachovia Plaza.

Metallisteve, great idea for going to Jason's Deli at the Epicenter. I didn't realize it opened already but it's been a while since I've been over that way.

Anyone agreeable to meeting there for a later lunch, say around 1:15 pm? Let's pick a day!

I'd do it. A Friday might be best.
