Good to know! Much less convenient, but I'm glad they didn't just shut down.

I really like Beantown in Matthews, so if its the same owner then I don't think you can go wrong. (Unless you are a yankee fan --- in which case stay away during baseball season.)

OK guys as a bit of a bar hopper (shame shame), yes Phil and tony's my local has moved - rents were astronomical. Mickey and Mooches next door has a nice bar (I think Mullman mentioned that) and the glass of wine is huge for $5 and change. A great bargain. O'Sheas (already mentioned) is great and the crowd changes after about 10pm which is when it gets smokey but it's a great atmosphere. I haven't been into the new beantown because I absolutely hate the one in Matthews - sorry. The service is lousy and the food is awful. If you want to just drink there well there are better places to spend your money imho. I am not keen on Kristophers either but I like gado gado across the road but it is a bit more than a bar. Macroni Grill has a good bar too (Providence Road).
