Well if you believe the old wives tale that snow comes 10 days after thunder.
I'm not sure if it was widespread but here in Steele Creek, we had a big thunderstorm early this morning. It was like a summer afternoon storm - heavy rain, a lot of lightning and booming thunder.
Anyone doing a snow dance?
Woke us up and kind of scared us, but kind of exciting, too.
I am not crazy about snow (3 1/2 years living near Ohio and 2 1/2 years driving big rigs in the north did it for me), but a good snow would give me the chance to test out my new AWD Suzuki!!! On second thought, I'd probably just ride the train if it snows. Other Charlotteans (without AWD) would probably just crash into my new ride.
Well, Al Conklin just said...no snow anytime soon. We'll see!!
I am not a huge fan of snow, either (overall) but, after not having seen any for the last few years and, hopefully, it will be the Charlotte-type where it snows, looks pretty and then melts by noon-ish...
Does that mean that we are going to have a HUGE snow?
Of course. The minute I leave the cold and ice in NY tomorrow it's a guarantee to snow in Charlotte!
Mark my words.
