Ok, silly question, but does anyone know when the spring leaves appear? I'm trying to have my family visit & I'd like them to come when the trees have gotten leaves, & they are suggesting a visit around the 1st & 2nd week of April.

they'll be budding pretty soon. I expect pale green on the trees in 2 weeks.

By the 3rd. week of April there should be small leaves on all the trees. That's when the oak tree pollen falls and covers everything with at wormy looking stems.

Anytime in April should be pretty. I have a neighbor that always plants his farm plants after Good Friday. The Bartlett pear trees are already blooming in our area in Union County.

Have them come the last Saturday in April and bring them to the Queenscup Steeplechase at Mineral Springs.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. Now I can rest assured that it'll be fairly 'springy' when they're here.

I am moving forward with my planting now. I believe the Winter has ended and so I suspect 30 days from now, things will be in full bloom. The stores and nurseries are jsut starting to get all their plants in.
