Today I learned that the security cameras at EAST MECH high school arent even working. A teacher I know had her door locked and left her room for 15 minutes only to return and find a thief had stolen some valuable items from the room. No one knows anything about it of course and the cameras we paid for dont work. Why pay for something and someone to maintain them IF they dont work....I know of another case at a close by middle school where a large electric range was stolen from the school(during the summer) and the custodian "didnt see a frikkin thing" Hell it would take 2 people and a truck to remove an item this big from the school yet no one saw a thing........what a joke...that school is Mcclintock Middle school.

Security cameras that don't work do work to a certain extent until we learn that they don't work.

Now you've blown it for them.

The thing that really irks me is yesterday I saw the head of CMS security talking on TV about the good professional job they we doing. To ask him you would think that the tax payers investment in schools with the high tech (and high doller ) equipment had a solid system.. Gez man it doesnt take rocket science to turn on the cameras..and I assure you someone is getting paid a nice salery thats is suspose to be on top of it.The security cameras are a very inportant tool to catch thieves, but then when you catch one and hes arrested it becomes public knowledge and afterall bad press for a system thats going to be wanting alot more money soon. Just my thoughts .

I take it that 'head' of security was Ralph Taylor...I've had dealings with this man in the past. Their heads were never screwed on very tightly to begin with. Maybe they were using the 'cameras' as duds to disguise failed attempts at PSI , or remote viewing.
