I am planning on relocating to Charlotte next year. I would like to purchase a condo at some point in time but don't know where to start. Could someone suggest a couple of areas. I am looking to be in pretty happening (i.e. uptown/downtown) areas but don't want to go past the 300s. Commuting is not a big issue for me because I have a vehicle but I would not want to travel more than 45mins. Somewhere safe....for a young female.

Also, how is the social scene? I have been a couple of times and I loved Charlotte but i would like to get fed back from people who live in the area.
