Yeah and a good family event to do. You guys can knock whatever the task is out quicker as a family. I hope they have no restrictions like one per family but one for each person that works the job
Im going to post in this thread when they release the type of charity we can do

I have no problem doing this. I have volunteered many times for various organizations.

It's a shame that it takes something like this incentive to get people to help out.

I have also read that you can use the value of the ticket towards a multiple day ticket as well.

We do plan to do this.

What a great program. We were already planning a trip to Disney next year and dh and I have been talking about finding a way to volunteer with our kids to give back to the community. What a great way to do both.

According to their website kids can get the free tickets too.

Quote:
You must be at least 18 years of age to sign up, and you may sign-up up to a maximum of 8 additional members of your same household. Children must be at least 6 years of age to volunteer under this program and receive a theme park ticket. Children ages 6-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when volunteering. Other age restrictions may apply to certain eligible volunteer opportunities.

I will be at Disney World January 10 to cheer on my stepson who will be running in the annual Disney Marathon. According to the info, it doesn't appear I'd be able to have a ticket that soon. Bummer!

I'm pretty sure the free birthday entry was just a 2009 promotion and since the Give a Day promotion is for 2010 they won't be able to be used together.
