I need your advice! We moved to Huntersville 1 year ago and want to buy a house after having rented until now. We have been looking in various subdivisions but are not sure which to choose.

We have a 7 and a 11 year old that have left their friends back home and longing to make new friends - that is kids their age are important as well as people actually using the yards is too! Middle school is coming next year and I hear that Bailey is so much better than Bradley, thus school district is important.

We want to spend between 300k and 400K and need 4 bedrooms, a bonus room and min 2½ baths. Neighborhood pool is a must too. We are used to a yard being more than just for show off so a decent size lot is ideal!

Hey! We are moving into Centennial by October. I have lived in Huntersville for 20 years. The problem nowadays is the developers are putting these big houses on smaller lots. IMO you have 2 choices land and you have to put in you own pool etc or a neighborhood and deal with the HOA smaller lots and such.

Let me know if I can be of any help. You could look at some older more established neighborhoods such as Cedarfield Wynfield etc...

P.S. Where in Europe are you from?

I agree with Charlotte agent on those two recomindations and both have swim teams for your kids to join and share in on a greenway. Since you are in the area it sometimes worth driving around those neighborhoods since some of the homes are for sale by owner and may not be a on website for easy viewing. Good luck

I agree with Charlotte agent and I'm headed for Centennial also

My lot is huge, in fact more than we need for sure. I would have been happy with 1/3 of a lot.
