Hello!

I am a speech therapist and my husband is a PE teacher.... We're considering moving to suburbs of Charlotte to be closer to family. Any experience working in the schools around there? We're currently in Northern VA. I know cost of living is less but not sure if the pay cut is equal to the decreased cost of living.

Thank you for any input!

If you're like our Lt. Governor, you'll love NC, if you think the starting salary of $30,000 for teachers is a "good income"!

It wouldn't. be that difficult to figure out. Just look at the salary scale and see where you fit in, and then start searching realtor.com for houses that you could afford on those salaries.

I work in public education in NC. I came from another state. A lot of people are leaving NC for greener pastures.

You can PM me with questions if you want.
