You may want to refer to this website and information about Dr. Overs. Although this is public information, none of us know what action this might have led to on the part of Novant in re: to Dr. Overs employment, so I do not mean to suggest that I do. However, one could speculate that it might have something to do with her absence.

NCMB Licensee Information

I am sorry that I don't have any recommendations for you, but hopefully, someone else will.

Here is what you want to know:

What's really ironic is that marijuana is legal in Colorado.

The issue was her failure to disclose the charge on her application to practice medicine. She was reprimanded and fined last year.

Try again - her patients must be reassigned to other providers if she has left the practice. Otherwise, it is called "abandonment".

Just thinking out loud here . . . maybe the other docs in her specialty are not hospital employees, so the folks you talk with in scheduling (which is typically through the hospital's system) don't have anyone "in house" that has been assigned the patients.

Guessing! It could be an administrative glitch and the folks doing the scheduling simply have not been informed and haven't been proactive enough to find out the answer.

Hi ChessPie,
I'm the social media manager for Novant Health and I'm sorry for the confusion that this situation has caused for you. Our team did some digging and got this information for you from the practice manager at Novant Health Neurology Specialists:

You should have been referred to Dr. Buechler at the Matthews office. In the event that he's not available, or if you would prefer to go to the Charlotte office, they should be scheduling your appointment with one of the doctors at the Charlotte office.

Can you try following up with them again? If you continue hitting a snag, please shoot me an email at socialmedia@novanthealth.org. I definitely want to help you get this straightened out.

Thanks!
Jeremy

I've had so much trouble with Novant, that I have told two of my doctors as soon as I find someone else who doesn't go through Novant I will be notifying them to transfer my records. Novant is almost impossible to deal with, call the customer help line and you have "23" callers ahead of you, and I'm usually calling because of a billing error they've made.

I looked Dr. Overs up before seeing her and I saw those letters of the illegal activities 7 years ago. She paid the non disclosure fines, and who doesn't do stupid stuff they regret in college? I am in no way condoning her actions because it's not something I like, but I also noted her certifications and her activities with MS and decided to see her and give her a try anyway. After I saw her the first time I knew I wasn't going anywhere!! I only got to see her twice before she was gone but each time she was in my room over an hour. She is about the only doctor I have seen that takes a holistic approach to care. I loved her and she was probably the best doctor in the Novant system and if these letters are the reason she is gone that is the craziest thing I have ever heard of!!!! In fact, if I can find her I am going with her, I found this forum by trying to find her on google. And by the way, I had labs drawn that were abnormal and instead of anyone in their office addressing them they just sent them to my rheumatologist to be addressed and my PCP had to call up there to find out about the other doctor when I asked for a referral to Dr. Conway in the CMC system or I would have also been abandoned.
