Hi,

I'm looking for managed townhome communities - something like Promenade Park by Simpson Prepoerties. It should be in a 30 minutes to uptown radius. The reason I'm looking for a managed community is because maintenance and repairs become very easy. Can you guys provide names and websites of such communities in Charlotte?

Thanks

I realised I dind't put in enough details. I'm looking to rent in the $1250 range. I work in uptown. The place should have atleast 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I would prefer upgraded kitchen appliances and granite counter tops.

Confused as to what you mean by "managed". Are you talking about an HOA or are you talking about a rental community that has some townhomes/townhome-style units?

Hooligan,

By managed I meant the sort of communities which are controlled by a leasing office like many apartment complexes are. They take care of all the maintenance and if I need to get any repairs done I can call them and they get it done. I'm not very well versed with the housing market and don't know what HOAs really do. Does this make more sense now? Please let me know if it's still not clear.

Abbington Place (Abbington Place Luxury Apartment Community in Charlotte North Carolina) and Promenade Park (http://www.promenadepark.com) are examples of such community which I have seen. They have villas and managed by a property developer.

Thanks.

There are a couple right in Ayrsley where I live (S. Tryon St and I-485, if you want to GoogleMaps it).

I can get the names/details for you when I get back home this weekend, if you'd like.

Holigan,

That'd be gr8. Ayrsley is a great location for me. The names of those communities would definately help. Thanks a lot.

I believe one is Grammercy Park and the other is a Colonial Apartments community, I think it's called Colonial Grand at Ayrsley or something similar.

Good luck!

EDIT -- yep, here you go: http://www.ayrsley.com/HOUSING/ForRe...5/Default.aspx

Ayrsley is pretty but you won't be uptown in 30 minutes at rush hour. Not even close. Take a look at Bennington Woods on Archdale and the Gates on Park Road. Also, in that newish Ryan Homes townhouse community on Archdale. Can't think of the name but you could google it. You can hop right on the light rail over there and be uptown in no time.
