We plan on moving to the Mooresville area in the Spring of 2007. We plan on going down in October with the intnet of purchasing property to put a double wide/modular on for retirement. How do we go about finding property--We have relatives who have a lake home near Sherills Ford--Like that area--don't want to be too far out though--any help??

I'm moving to Mooresville in 3 wks. The Chamber of Commerce in town has a wall full of real estate info. You can find numerous books & names of real estate agents that service that area. They also have a local map, it costs $2 & it shows the whole Mooresville/Iredell county area. That can help you find your way around (we used it & found it to be very helpful). Hope that helps!
Why don't you post this on the NC forum? Why can't the New York forum be about New York? It's kind of sad. I'm moving back to New York state from the Carolina's and can't wait! There's a little song that goes a little something like this;
Don't it always seem to go
that you don't know what you've got till it's GONE.
Grass is always greener syndrome is really starting to set in throughout the NY. I hope it passes fast. The last thing I want when I move back is to here more people (who have never been there) yammer on about how much better the south is and how they would rather live there.

I agree, they should be asking NC info on the NC forum. BUT...maybe they just didn't know where to start & figured, since they're moving from NY to NC, maybe someone here could help them...You know...been there, done that??
To each his own....different strokes for different folks.....I get by with a little help from my friends.
