Hi all! we are traveling to Chattanooga to celebrate my son's birthday with a ride on the Christmas train. We booked an Airbnb (not newbies at this) and now I am concerned after reading a negative review (recent) regarding the safety of the area.
It is off of Mission Crest Lane near Notre Dame HS. Does anyone have any input on this area? we are traveling with three young children so of course now I am freaking out! thanks!!

I have lived in large cities and smaller ones. You can safely watch your kids in any of them. You can't do things anywhere like leave purses in cars, change laying out, other valuables. Keep your doors locked and you'll be fine.

That's still considered Missionary Ridge, which itself is an upper class area. However, don't get too far off the Ridge after dark. Stay on the main roads and you should be fine. Just take the usual precautions. It's an urban neighborhood. The usual crimes that occur in that part of town happen in pockets farther to the west & northeast of there.
