Here's a good little sandwich shop that I bet you didn't even know was there Odells @ 3031 Cummings Hwy. It's not really a deli but more a tiny home grown convenience store. THIS is some good stuff. They even have liverwurst! Some amazing cheeses and meats that'll make ya drool.

If you want to do Lookout Mountain for hiking, biking, whatever, this map is awesome. I don't know if its a secret, but its not easy to find online and there is none better. It's in pdf. http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/natio...ookoutmt99.pdf

which reminds me . . . if you do want to hike on LM, a nice, short hike (about 1 mile out and 1 mile back) is point park to sunset rock on the bluff trail. You enter point park, and head down the steps at the far end. There is a metal stairs that goes down to the bluff trail. Turn left and follow it to sunset rock. It is a really nice hike for the casual hiker. There are great rock formations, a little cave, and usually a few groups of rock climbers who are fun to watch. Then you climb the natural steps to sunset rock and get a great view of Chattanooga valley. Having hiked almost all the trails there, I can also recommend biking on the truck trail, which is a un unused truck road which is gravel and dirt and wide and clear.
