Chattanooga is great! Lived here most of my life and raised our daughter here. It is the perfect size city. My daughter is starting her 2nd year college at UTC this year. So far so good. I do not think you will regret Chattanooga and we have a lot of growth in the City now whereas a lot of other cities are having major problems. Good Luck!!!

We are looking at Chatt and bringing a manu biz but someone up above wrote "lock your doors" - those of you who live up there, is your crime high? I would assume SOME AREAS may be like in ANY CITY but wanted to ask you all first what YOU THOUGHT. Thx

I'm not sure if that person is troll or what. That is SO not the case in Hixson or Harrison - at least not where we've lived. I do not think you will find this to be true. I am more comfortable here than I have been in any other place we've lived (MS, outside Memphis, and PA). As you mentioned, there are always certain areas in any town that you have to be careful.
