I was looking at houses/neighborhoods in the S/W section of Crystal Lake. I noticed many planes flying over and was told about Lake In The Hills airport. Does anybody know the flight patterns of this airport? Curious on what major cross streets these planes fly over?

LITH Airport is not O'Hare or Palwaukee Airports. There are no jets heading onto the runway and only small planes. Most of the take-offs are done over the quarry or over commercial lands.

You are more likely to hear the Metra and freight trains in the area.

Thanks for reply. I was actually thinking of the "better chance getting stuck by landing than a plane falling onto your house." It wasn't so much of the noise issue.

Actually, until they recently relocated a portion of Pyott Rd., you were more likely to have a plane hit your car than anything else.
