If this is built, it should tie into the Prairie Parkway.

MUCH rather see the Toll Authority build the 53 extension first before building the Prairie Parkway.

Same here, but I doubt the 53 extension will ever happen.

I never saw the proposed prarie parkway but can see how the area could use this important road , that would be a nice tie in.

The present terminus at Lake Cook Rd northwest then straight north through Mundelein up to Rt120 in Grayslake. Most of the right of way is already purchased so it is unlikely to vary substantially.

I would like to see a interchange between 57 and 294 quite honestly.

This seems like the best one of all.
This has been getting some press lately

lets hope this gets pushed thru somehow

this area is greatly in need of this interchange.

I agree completely that it needs to be built WITH a southern extension of I-355 south of I-80.
Yes considering the Illiana would eleviate traffic congestion from the large trucks.

a southern extionsion of 355 south of 1 80 would be awesome.
in the real picture this is probably a pipe dream.

Interchange at 294 & 57 has begun construction. I'm not against Illiana, but wouldn't 4-6 lane Il Rte 47 alleviate a lot of the traffic for now?
