I had to get a pair of jeans while traveling that were too big in the waist but did the job. Now, I'd like to get the jeans darted so they fit me better. Where is a solid but cheap-ish place to do that? I'm currently in Schaumburg but can drive elsewhere. Maybe I'm wrong, but I imagine Nordstrom and other obvious choices charge more than some little place that does alterations.

Thanks for any feedback.

I hadn't heard that word 'darted' since my grandmother used to live w/us when I was a kid

Not sure where you are in Schaumburg, but I recall a dry cleaner
that did basic alterations pretty well near Roselle/Golf. Understand, such alterations usually don't vary in price that much. Open up yelp too.

Most dry cleaners also have tailoring departments. Consult with yelp to find one in your location that does a good job. I live in Wheaton and any number of dry cleaners also do tailoring. No need to drive far or Nordstroms do not tailor things unless you bought them there.
