Well since Brookfield Zoo is not in Chicago-it has been a few years already since there have been no elephants in Chicago.

They had several elephant deaths in a short period, mostly because they all got old at about the same time. I'm not sure if Lincoln Park Zoo still has elephants. The main problem is they are very expensive to buy and especially to feed, and all public institutions around here are terribly pinched for funds. Also, animal-rights groups have been concentrating heavily on the conditions in which elephants are kept. Plan a trip to Milwaukee.

must be related to the ongoing peanut shortage since 2009, i think the circus is in town soon, so will help to patch up the elephant streak.

No elephants? I thought the last Republican left Chicago decades ago.
