Cheap River North/Streeterville parking 24 hrs or less (neighborhood, garage)

I've got some out-of-town guests driving into the River North/Streeterville area late this afternoon. They may be staying for a few hours or possibly overnight. Anyone know of a good parking deal in this area? Thanks.

Weeknights you can usually find free street parking west of Clark from 9pm-8am without too much trouble.

As far as before that, there is no cheap parking. Street parking before 9pm is at least $2.50/hr, and I don't know any short-term lots that charge less than that.

You may be able to find a slightly cheaper parking west of state st, especially on a parking lot. But usually most charge the same. I remember also seeing some parking lots with deals near Rive East Museum under bridge, a little bit in sketchy area but can't remember where exactly. Its in area where u go past NBC studio when u head east.

Other option your guests can find is try to find a parking little bit up north, in lincoln park or lake-view neighborhood near red line and then just take transit. The one garage at corner of north ave and sheffield has good deals, is half cheaper but is usually alway full. U also have to check out before 11 pm, otherwise u can't get out until they reopen next day.
