No.

For $500/mo you won't get anything close to what you are asking for, esp with no security deposit.

Unfortunately, almost no areas in Chicago meet your full description. The cheapest you may be able to find will be a studio for $550+ and you will most likely need to sign a lease for 6 months, not many places allow you to do a month to month lease. Also, no security deposit also lowers your already small chances of finding a place to stay as it's virtually impossible to find a place willing to skip the security deposit on a lease less than a full year in length. Also, finding a furnished studio is something else that is going to be unlikely to find. Craiglist.org's Chicago section is the best place to find apartments.

Here are some options for you ($500-$600 a month), however - they are not furnished, but near public transportation via the Chicago Red Line and roughly a 30 minute commute to the Loop (downtown). These neighborhoods can be a bit rough sometimes, but generally nothing that should bother you and your wife if you keep to yourselves and are smart about your surroundings.

Large Studio, move in NOW, heat included, CTA

Studio Apartment $500!

Starter studio price, big studio size. Cats Welcome. Free svc.

Also, do you plan on having a job when you are in Chicago? Why exactly are you going to be in Chicago? Information like this could possibly help someone with pointing you in the right direction to find a place.

You would be better off renting a room in someone's house while you are here.

Look on craigslist.org for rooms for rent.
