Apartment for recent College Grad in the City (apartment complexes, neighborhoods)

I'm a recent College Grad and I just got a full-time job over in the West Loop area and I am looking to relocate to some place closer (I'm coming from the Roseland area---far southside).

Here is what I am thinking:
Hyde Park
West Loop
South Loop
Pilsen
Greektown
Chinatown (area)
Downtown (would be nice but I know its not cheap)

I'm looking for my own place, no roommates. Any suggestions? Do you know of any apartment complexes that are in my price range (I'm willing to go as high as $1100/month). I'd prefer a 1-bedroom but I could go for a Studio for the right place.

All of them would provide you a fairly painless commute -- what do you look for in a neighborhood? What kinf od apartment do you want? For $1,100 you can get into any of those neighborhoods -- really any neighborhood in the city since you say you'd look at studios.
