Yeah, It's gone. They repaired much of the old building after the fire and reopened it under a different name, but it was torn down and replaced eventually with the Oriental theater in the '20s. All that is left are the alleged ghosts that haunt the alley.

Unfortunately, part of my family tree was pruned due to that fire. :|

Just to piggyback off of what willie said, apparently some believe (or used to) that Couch Place alley is haunted.

One gross oversight in particular was the unfinished fire escapes hanging over Couch Place Alley. Many people jumped to avoid the fire. Hence from 1903 on, Couch Place Alley was widely believed haunted by their ghosts or spirits, still wandering the site of that tragic event.

I Actually went back there yesterday after I been shopping at the Macy's on State. I am pretty fascinated by it. Of course I didn't notice or hear anything. But I would not be surprised if it's true. Some people are more open to the "unknown".
