Was this theater completely torn down after fire or is current theater using the same building?

Yeah, It's gone. They repaired much of the old building after the fire and reopened it under a different name, but it was torn down and replaced eventually with the Oriental theater in the '20s. All that is left are the alleged ghosts that haunt the alley.

Just to piggyback off of what willie said, apparently some believe (or used to) that Couch Place alley is haunted.

I Actually went back there yesterday after I been shopping at the Macy's on State. I am pretty fascinated by it. Of course I didn't notice or hear anything. But I would not be surprised if it's true. Some people are more open to the "unknown".
