Mid-20s male looking for apartment in Chicago. Will be commuting to Burr Ridge. Seeking safe area with some night life Would like no more than a 45 minute commute to work. Can spend about $1200. Any suggestions? Not familiar with the area and know no one there, so would like a building with pool and gym. Also does anyone know anything about Sandburg Village? Movinsoon2

The Village is all right; I would guess that would only get you a studio. It's absolutely enormous and the location and amenities are all good; it looks a bit dated and is HUGE but for just moving to the city and getting your bearings you could do worse. It's safe and I would imagine kept up decently.

If work is in Burr Ridge I would really really try to find a spot MUCH closer to the Stevenson! Sandburg Village is not bad if you work in the City or maybe even someplace north / slighty west but you will be driving through some tortuously congested areas at the begining and end of every day...

Imo, I wouldn't want to commute from Sandburg Village to Burr Ridge. Try looking in Little Italy. Maybe look in the loop too.
