Me and my wife visit YMCA daily.
We have a strange observation made: the family pool (it has warm water) has problems on a weekly basis. One week the water is VERY cold, next week it is almost hot, then they are fixing the whirlpool, so water is cold again. This week there was no chlorine one day, so we could not use it. Then it would be the competition, so we cannot use it for a day or two. This list is endless.
The question is: is this situation normal? Is there any way to support the pool condition on a daily basis? (I suspect "yes"). Do they need to compensate us for the days we cannot use the pool?
This is happening in Chicagoland BTW, not the third world country.

Good luck getting them to pay for any lack of use! You could speak to the mgr about so many days of non-use to see if they can address that, but probably you need to upgrade to a better private pool.

Pay for a better pool, you get a better pool. Funny how that works.

The YMCA is an international charitable organization, that strives to make things like pools accessible to people who would otherwise not be able to afford upgrading to a better private pool. The efficiency of local administration will vary, but in general, I trust them to do the best they can with the non-corporate assets they have available.

I agree with most of the above. My H worked at the YMCA for a little over a year just recently and even if you use it for other things, I would find another pool.
