I am highly considering moving to Chicago. I'm a 19 year old male and I live in Virginia, but I really need to leave now. I want to live downtown, and am planning a trip to further look into the city (I've only been there once, but loved it). Any suggestions on specific places I should visit, or any advice?

Is there a reason you want to live downtown? There's not a whole lot going on downtown outside of business hours.

I would come visit and take a couple of days to just scope out all of the areas. Ride the different El lines so you can make a better decision. Also as said above downtown is dead on the weekends and at night, most resturants and businesses are closed. It is also very expensive. What will you be doing here? Working? School?
