Ok, so I got my electric bill.... normally its like $50... but for this month its a massive $207.52.

Am I alone here? Is Comed finding a new way to stick it up people's butts? This is seriously the most frustrating bill I have ever gotten... ever.

Really? I have a two level 3 bedroom home with a finished basement in LP and my heating bill has never surpassed $200. Do you live in a big house?

Maybe they were doing meter estimates and made an adjustment following an actual reading.

I ****ing hope not & really doubt it, I've lived here for 18 months and the bill is always about the same... I literally cannot afford a $200+ electric bill each month. My parents have a 4000sqft house and don't pay that much per month.

I suspect that something is rotten in the state of Denmark....

Either that or they have been doing estimates for a long period of time and gave an actual reading this time.

I for a long time have cut through the B.S. and read my own meter. You can report it online. Problem solved.

If they did an adjustment pursuant to an actual reading, you shouldn't get $200 bills each month. It would just mean they undercharged you for the period during which they did estimates.

If that's the case it should be indicated on the bill. Did you add some appliances during the month? Is this your settlement bill for equal monthly billing? Take your bill and compare the reading to your meter; maybe it was mis-read?
