I've been looking around online for a decent soccer league in Chicago, but I can't find much near the loop (within 45 minutes via public transit is fine).

I'd prefer it was smaller teams (5v5 or 6v6 would be cool) and I don't care if it's indoor or outdoor.

Any suggestions?

This will sound trite, but find your Polish coworkers or friends and ask them. Latin coworkers might know, but in my experience, Polish guys are far more likely to be soccer players and not just fans.

I know there's a league that uses the Walter Payton field's in the Near North area that you can see from the Brown Line between Chicago and Sedgwick, but I don't know what they're called.

Default Soccer League, 6000 plays 8-19 yrs old

One of my customers heads up a league that meets along Lake Shore Drive with several courts. I would be happy to put you in touch if you have questions. The league is for youths 8-19 yrs old and has 6000 players.

I know of two that are near the loop. Not sure if these are actual leagues but they should be able to help you.

One is by Cermak & Throop.
ChiTown Futbol - Chicago's Premier Indoor Soccer Facility!

The other is by 39th & Ashland.
