OK, that's cool. I personally cannot comment on comments made by an anonymous you-tuber. It is true there are, and have always been, people who are so eager to experiance the rapture and to be with their Lord that they see signs everywhere in anticipation. Can you imagine what they were saying in the 1960s with the cold war, fear of nuclear bombs, drugs, sexual revolution, assassination of JFK and other politicians, vietnam war, economic turmoil, communism, wars in Israel, genoside in China etc, etc

The Bible instructs to keep an eye out for signs, although no one know the day of His coming.

Matthew 24:30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
32Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.

What's the deal? According to scripture, nobody will know before it happens. Why do these few cranks feel like they have the inside scoop?
It's all fear based, and a desire to see God bring judgement upon those who reject the message of Jesus and them getting their just desserts.

NO MAN KNOWS THE DAY OR THE HOUR? (http://www.familyradio.com/graphical/literature/nomanknows/nomanknows.html - broken link)

I don't agree with it, but they're certainly entitled to their opinion. I'm sure their hearts are in the right place.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

I think for some people it's about control. They don't have the answers to their questions, so they fill them in.
When will Jesus come back? How exactly will it go down?
I'm content with not knowing, but I can see how people would have the temptation to fill in the blanks and thus know all the answers.

Are you serious? Is that really your view of those who look for the second coming? That they are all so hate filled and vindictive, and their 'religion' so perverted, that they are actually looking forward to seeing the judgements of God being poured out upon mankind, to fulfil some sick personal desire to see unbelievers punished??? If this is so, and your post not simply an attempt at humour, I would suggest you are reading the wrong material, listening to the wrong sermons, and keeping company with the wrong people. Your view of Christianity, apart of course from your own personal little enclave of course, is hugely condemnatory, and if true, a sad indictment on today's church.. However, that said, it is true that a large portion of today's church do indeed have a twisted view of the second coming, and their motives for same can certainly be brought into question.
But just to let you know that such a view as you propose in your quoted comment above is not general, here in why I look forward to His coming.
Not only in fact do I look forward to it, but by informing as many people of the gospel as I can, and doing all I can to promote Jesus as the Saviour of man, it is my hope that I can help hasten His coming, because as far as I an concerned, the sooner the better.
Here is why. Because I am heartily sick of hearing of little children being picked up off the street by perverted twisted evil sons of the devil and then who blames his childhood for his abominable behaviour. I am tired of hearing of children being abused mentally, physically and sexually by their own families. I look forward to a heaven where Jesus reigns and children are loved and protected by everyone.
Because I am heartily sick of hearing of women being attacked and raped in their own homes, and their families murdered. Their will be no murderers in heaven.
Because I am utterly weary of the crime, the hatred, the violence, the profanity and blasphemy that is passed off on an unsuspecting and gullible public as entertainment.
Because I sigh at the continuing ineffectiveness of politicians who pretend to have all the answers to the world's problems but have none.
I weep at the forlorn faces of starving, lonely, abandoned disease ridden children whose smiles are so genuine when given a just a little love.
Because I am still shocked and horrified at the wars and bloodshed and strife that has turned this beautiful planet into one vast war cemetery; I pray I will never be so overloaded with such scenes of destruction of human life that it fails to touch me. Yet I see many, yes even professed Christians, who have become immune to such. Come Lord Jesus.
I see this world is dying. It is sinking under a weight of sin, corruption, violence and deceit and will never recover. It's only hope, our only hope, is Jesus. The sooner He comes, the sooner the end will be to all the ugliness that surround us daily. The pain, the suffering, the anguish of people both young and old, dying sick and lost and in despair with no hope.
Even nature is telling us that this old earth is in its final death throws. Jesus is coming soon. I cant wait to leave this place...but in the meantime, and until that day arrives, there are more people who need to know they have a Saviour....

Yes i am serious. Christendom as we know it is fear based, and forgotten the same mercy it's been shown.

Debt is debt no matter how big or small it mat appear in our eyes. For some unknown reason we look at the debt we owed(our own words expose how much we believe we have been forgiven of our debt) and compare that debt with others that are still supposedly in debt to a larger amount, and then proceed to condemn those who we think owe the larger debt.

Believers look forward to be with the Lord, and that is the only reason why they anticipate the coming of the Lord. If someone tells you that they anticipate it only beacuse they want to see judgment on unbelievers, then it is best to treat is as a bitter personal opinon, and nothing more.

The question on the original post Moderator cut: orphaned is "Why do these few cranks feel like they have the inside scoop? "

If you are talking about getting out of here through a rapture, christendom is split when it happens, these cranks who keep wrongly predicting dates that we still take heed to, are preachers of fear(preaching from what is in their own hearts) and fear is contagious,12 spies went out to spy the land, 2 came back with a good report, 10 came back with a bad report, and the fear from the bad report spread like wild fire. Then all who were caught up in the fear that they couldn't enter the promised land because of their fear and unbelief, thought they could enter the land presumptiously through faith driven by fear.We will go up to the place the Lord promised.”Numbers 14:40

I have been around bible believing christians who have believed the rapture is imminent, none of them including myself had assurance just hope that they would make it.

I do not believe in a rapture, if i'm wrong and there is one(Happy is the man who realizes he may be mistaken), i believe most of christendom will not be ready for it. Those who are perfected in love will.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.1 John 4:18

Have a nice day pcamps. I do not wish to continue this conversation.
You mean you will wait for someone to rip what i say apart(and they will, that's fine by me too,no offence is ever taken) , answer my question about "what about the fete of your unbelieving loved ones that have passed away", then you will jump right back in.

You have a nice day too Finn, i pray above all things that God will give assurance in your heart about all your unbelieving loved ones that have passed, that he's reconciling all back to himself, not counting their sins against them.
