After Adam and Eve were cast out from the garden, they were distraught and sorry for their sin. They fasted and asked God for forgiveness. As they moved in the wilderness, they saw a mighty rock and the voice of God spoke to them from that rock, telling them that he will appear again to their generation to redeem them. He told them that three things will signify his entry into the world - Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh.

We all know the biblical account of the 3 wise men. They were actually four wise men. The fourth wise man, carried on doing other things and was left behind by the other three wise men. It took the wise men 2 years to get to the Christ of God where they presented their gifts and were blessed. Each of these gifts have spiritual significance:

Gold - Represents his kingship (was sold to finance the flight to Egypt)

Frankincense - Absolute authority

Myrrh - Represents the eternity of his reign, from everlasting to everlasting. Note that myrrh is a preservative, used to preserve corpse.

After presenting these gifts, God blessed, blessed and blessed these 3 wise men. Is it not funny that the 'men of God' in Israel were not informed about the coming of God (Christ), but people from other climes - hmmm the ways of God! The ways of God is always different from the ways of men!

Now the fourth wise man procrastinated a lot and got to Jerusalem when Christ was on the cross, after 33years! He was affected by the earthquake, but he later got to Gethsame and beheld Christ in the cross. He was not able to present his gift and got no blessing. He went back empty handed. The 4th wise man represents the people we see every day - people who procrastinate, people who are never serious about the work of God, but are ready to do every other thing. There are many 4th wise men in the world today. Are you one? There are also many 3 wise men in the world, they are people who take seriously the work of God - Are you one?

Now if the fourth wise man had met him, then He would not have been the one because three things always represent God. Father Son and Holy Ghost, while on earth, Spirit, Water and Blood.

Happy Easter folks and remember that we all are covered by that precious Blood. If we are, then let us all strive to resemble him by loving our fellow man as ourselves.

Then, how did you get it? It's not in the Bible and the Holy Spirit never contradicts the Word of God.

You are right, the Holy Spirit never contradicts, but He can tell you the whole story abbreviated or omitted in the Bible.

I'd like you to explain the contradiction with scripture if you've seen any contradiction from the write up.

RESPONSE:

There isn't any mention of 3 wise men in the Bible. Only two are alluded to. But someone thought up a third and claimed the Holy Spirit as his authority. Ditto, the fourth.

And scripture is full of contradictions. For example, was Jesus crucified on the Day of Preparation (John) or Passover (Matthew, Mark, Luke). How many animals did Jesus send for and ride when he entered Jerusalem? Was Jesus born before King Herod's death in 4 BC or during the census of Quirinius in 6 AD when Judea (but not Galilee) came under direct Roman control?

when I hear this argument, I ask, ' how many gitfs were presented'? The Bible will not tell you everything. You need the Holy Spirit to even understand scripture.

I have treated the time-line to his resurrection on another thread. The gospels do not contradict, they rather give different perspectives, which should be understandable.

Just to repeat:

Last Supper: Wednesday night

Prayer at Getsamene : 10 pm Wednesday

Arrest : 0300 hrs Thursday

Taken to Pilate: 0600 hrs Thursday

Crucified: 0900 hrs

Eclipse: 1200 hrs

Death: 1500 hrs

Burial: 1800 hrs Thursday

Resurrection: 0600 hrs Sunday

If you notice, the passion of Christ has a new event every 3 hrs.

Default The Truth

Shalom...this is very interesting, because... "Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shua. And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah. And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country." Genesis 25:1-6 KJV
...as well as the scriptural fact that Abraham sent the sons of his concubines into the east country...the very country that the wise men came from...what gifts do you suppose Abraham sent the sons of his concubines away with ?
The wise men that came bearing the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, were the earthly cousins of Yeshua...the cousins whose ancestors Abraham sent away bearing those very gifts their descendants would give to the earthly descendant of Isaac whom G-d gave all to.

The Blessings of The Eternal One reveals The Truth...
