Once you have believed in Jesus Christ for eternal salvation, the most important thing in your life, your first priority, should be learning the word of God. Bible doctrine is the means by which the believer grows to spiritual maturity which is the objective, the very reason why God leaves the believer on earth after salvation. God expects the believer to grow up spiritually. This can only be accomplished through a consistant intake and metabolization of Bible doctrine. Whether you are a winner or a loser in the spiritual life is totally dependent upon your attitude toward God's word.

Unfortunately, most believers aren't interested in learning Bible doctrine. Many are even hostile toward Bible doctrine. Many don't understand the importance of it. Many are distracted by other things - the details of life.

My objective in posting this is to present the following study on the importance of Positive volition towards Bible doctrine. I hope it will at least be read. The Importance of Positive Volition Towards Bible Doctrine - Doctrines for download - Robert McLaughlin Bible Ministries / Grace Bible Church - bible doctrine truth in Christ

Now, to most people, what is said in the study, and what has been said by me won't make any difference in their attitude. But hopefully, there will be someone who will listen and realize that their very spiritual growth depends upon their attitude toward Bible doctrine.

This is the path to Bibleanity . . . NOT Christianity. I will follow Christ . . . NOT Bible "precepts and doctrines of men."

Is it not the Bible that teaches us of Christ?

Most verses can be understood from right where it is within the verse.

Others may need to be set within their context, to be understood.

Sometimes there are cultural references [Oriental-isms] that need to be understood.

Other times a phrase has been used before.

Knowing this first that no scripture is of any 'private interpretation' or one's own letting loose.

Using the unambiguous example and teachings that constitute the "mind of Christ" to interpret scripture is NOT a private interpretation.

Spiritual growth occurs from growing in the grace and knowledge of HIM,not your bible. God sent His Son, this is the way, walk in it.
