Ronald Reagan once famously remarked,

Quote:
The most terrifying words in the English language are 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'
He was wrong. The most terrifying words in the English language are

Quote:
Now this is what this Bible passage is really trying to teach us...

In reply to a question pcamps asked in a PM (which I am replying here because I've forgotten how to use PM's) this is not really original but just a mixture of one quote by Reagan that I saw (on a ET vs. UR debate website, funny enough) with something I heard a pastor say in a YT video on ET shortly after. What amused me was hearing the pastor read a UR scripture and then say, "Now the Bible is not teaching universal redemption in this passage as many would like to believe. What the Bible is really saying here is that...."

And then suddenly the RR bells and red flashing lights went on.

Once someone tries to tell me what Christ "really meant" or what that verse "really means" or that I am taking something "out of context" I politely stop listening (Which is very easy for me to do)

So true Miss Blue

Therefore consider carefully how you listen.Luke 8:18.I wish i had done this after first believing, instead of gullibly receiving what was being served up has the truth. It gets tiresome at times having to rebuke the fundamentalist in me.
