Just to be clear, because I think some people got the wrong impression from the original post, Amy Grant did not have sex outside of marriage (that we know of), so most people would not consider her an adulterer. The original post is referencing an esoteric interpretation of the scriptures, that one who marries and divorces, then marries another, commits adultery. Most people don't see it that way.
Another thing, if a Christian is saved forever at the moment of salvation, do they need to repent of sins subsequent to salvation in order to remain saved? What if a Christian dies without repenting over particular sins? This is a question for those who believe in the perseverance of the saints.
Some people think that because Amy Grant has committed Adultery, by divorcing her husband and remarrying - that she is on her way to hell as an adulterer. I do not agree. I think if you are a Christian, then Adultery is not the unforgiveable sin and that we are indeed all sinners in need of Gods forgiveness daily. What do you think?
I think that I hope all christians think like you do....I also think Amy would have ALOT of company.
Honestly, who are ANY of you to judge who's going to hell or not????
God's probably looking down from heaven saying "Hahaha, I love how these humans think they have it all figured out. I've never had so many words put in my mouth before. Gotta run, the game's about to start, can't miss the kick-off!"
