Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Paul encouraged Christians to have the same attitude of Jesus in Philippians 2:5-11. This included a life that put others' interest ahead of one's own. Jesus did not hold on to his place in heaven but came to earth, humbling Himself as a servant. He took on human form and obeyed the Father, even to death on a cross. Jesus lived an earthly life of humility and God exalted Him by giving Him a name above every name that all people would one day revere. As we Christians live our lives, serving is more important than being served. God sees every act of humble service of the believer, and He will certainly reward those Christians who have lived lives like Jesus.

LORD, help me to serve You humbly. Take away any desires I have for human recognition. Focus my attention on the example of service I see in Your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Amen.... DennisWayne !!
A child of God, their heart attitude should always be without having to be reminded and will definitely be a second nature to the individual a servants heart... one in whom serves the Lord God with all their heart will be more concerned of others rather then themselves.... regardless of who, what, where and when and that which is said and done unto them !!
Yet so many we see and read seem to forget that.... "a life that put others' interest ahead of one's own."..... should be the most important part of being a child of the Lord God especially in our maturing through the Holy Spirits teaching us to learn, listen when Jesus speaks and teaches us so deeply about serving others in all we do and say, amen !!

We would see and read so much less strife, contention, arguing, fighting, over things that have NO ETERNAL value, amen !!

This is why we have to make sure we’re NOT straddling the fence. If we’re truly trying to “lived lives like Jesus", we will be doing these things…
(1). NOT doing what the world does ,(John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world). and (Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God).

(2). NOT approving ANYTHING one does, that goes against Jesus and his Father ,(Psa. 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful). And (Exo. 23:1,2 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness. Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment).

(3). Doing Jesus FATHER’S WILL ,(Matt. 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother). Which includes PRAYING to his Father ,and honoring his name ,(Matt. 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name).
If we’re doing these things, they we are living like Jesus, because he DID DO these things. Peace

Yes, to serve the Lord in spirit and in truth is for those who walk uprightly and to worship the Lord with wisdom and justice is for those who are the righteous.

"Blessed is He who hears the word of the Lord and keeps it."

"The blessing of the Lord is on the house of the righteous."

"Blessed is he who's way is blameless, who walks in the way of the Lord."
