Are you saying that the Word was only at the beginning of earths and all other things that Jehovah created? Or was the Beginning in John referring to the beginning of creation in general, like when the Word was created? Possibly millions or more years before the earths creation.
You see, Jehovah created the angels before he created man's proposed home, and Jesus was the one that Jehovah created everything for and through, so Jesus as the Word was around then, but even then he and the angels were not immortal as some say, and it was only Jehovah that could not be dispensed with.
If, as you suggest, John was talking about God in that scripture, why would he use in the beginning as Jehovah had no beginning?
