You are simplistic and naive on purpose. A person that believes in Jesus can do the Easter Bunny with no conflict of interest.

Christmas can be celebrated as the birth of Jesus and an to have fun with Santa. This is not being Pagan. I am sure God understands these issues quite well.

By definition a Christian is not a pagan.

Those that pray to Mary or Saints are not pagan because it is all in the name of Jesus.

Dear Julian,
The bread was without leaven, because the last supper occurred according to John 19:14, on Preparation Day, which is when one must clean the leaven out of the household. The leaven stands for hypocrisy, which Yeshua tied to the teachings of the Pharisees. The Spiritual meaning being that one is to eat the "bread of life", without the leaven of hypocrisy. That means the teachings of the Pharisee, Paul, needs to be cleaned out of the house in order to prepare for the "Day of the Lord". The last supper is a lesson on what has to happen before the "awesome Day of the Lord" (Joel 2:31) According to John, the next day was Passover, which is a high holy Sabbath day, and which happens on the 14th day of the 1st month. Passover would have been on a Thursday, and the resurrection would have been on Saturday evening, 3 days and 3 nights after the burial. Friday would have been the high holy Sabbath day of the feast of unleavened bread. Easter is simply the feast of Ishtar, tied fitfully into the story of Christ.

Matthew 16:11 NAS "How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread ? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

John 19:14 NAS Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover ; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold, your King !"

John 19:31 NAS [Care of the Body of Jesus] Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day ), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

Love for children. It's really that simple unless you think a long theological lecture would suffice for them.

Here is how Jesus blessed them. He put His hand on them and blessed them. No great sermon but a very profound blessing. Let us love with simplicity!

I am sure Jesus would have no problem in letting the children have fun. If Easter became nothing but all about the bunny than that would be a problem. Most parents let the kids have some fun after services and the kids know what Easter is really about. What's the problem except for people who search for problems everywhere they go?

What people are celebrating ALWAYS only involves what they INTEND to celebrate . . . NOT what they use to celebrate. The same is true for worship. God knows the heart.

This is a silly comparison. Worshiping a golden calf in no way compares to kids having fun. Sounds like something a Pharisee would make up just to condemn others.

I understand we may do it for the children, but what are we teaching them really? We teach them they should follow the bible and its teachings, but there is nothing in the bible about Easter egg hunts. Easter isnt in the bible either, but atleast some scriptures on Passover can somewhat justify the death, burial, and resurrection aspect of why we celebrate Easter even though it is a man made holiday.

But what if those same children when they get older ask:
Why do rabbits lay eggs? What does this have to do with Jesus? Where did this all even start?

They do research and see the true origins of Easter eggs, but have been told its in Love for Jesus. What if they feel if you have lied to them up to this point, so have you been lying about Jesus too?

Maybe these little kids need to know what Jesus did for them and not think about candy eggs. We dont have to show them the passion of the Christ or anything, but the truth of their savior wont hurt either.

When God directly tells his people, NOT to imitate the way people worshiped their Gods and we know straight up where Easter Eggs came from and how they came about, shouldn't we follow his commands and have nothing to do with it.

Deuteronomy 12:29-32

New King James Version (NKJV)

Beware of False Gods

29 “When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, 30 take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.’ 31 You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way; for every abomination to the Lord which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
