Tony, one thing, and one thing alone results in eternal condemnation. And that one thing is failure to place your total trust in the One who died for your sins on the cross so that by believing on Him you can have eternal life. How easy is it to be eternally saved? In Acts 16:30-31 the question is asked and answered.
Acts 16:30 Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31] And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
You can do nothing, absolutely nothing to earn or deserve eternal life. You can't be saved by your works, or by being good, or by your commitment, or by anything that you yourself do in an effort to merit your eternal salvation. All the work that was necessary for your salvation was accomplished on the cross by Jesus Christ who died in your place, for your sins, as your substitute. He already paid the penalty for each and every sin you will ever commit in your life. Your sins were judged at the cross. They are not an issue in salvation. The only issue in receiving eternal life is whether you will place your trust in Christ alone who died for you.
What does it mean to believe on Christ? What does it mean to have faith in Christ? It means to understand and agree with the proposition that He died for your sins and that He rose again (1 Cor. 15:1-4; Rom. 4:25) and therefore to trust in His finished redemptive work on your behalf. It means to recognize that Christ alone is your Savior and that you cannot contribute anything by which you can deserve or earn your salvation.
Eternal life is free. It is a gift simply for the asking. There is no cost involved. Jesus told the Samaritan woman that all she needed to do was to ask.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
The water of life, eternal life is free. It is without cost to you because Jesus paid the price for you.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost.
And you receive eternal life the moment you receive Christ as Savior.
Now, yes the believer, having been eternally saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus absolutely should live his life as unto the Lord, and be obedient, but that is an entirely different issue than the issue of how you receive eternal life. Obedience is costly to you. It takes effort on your part. But eternal life is freely given without any cost to you at all, and without any meritorious effort on your part. Simply trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who did everything to make your eternal salvation possible. It is believing in Jesus Christ which results in eternal life. Nothing else.
Everyone comes to hell. It is called being born into a fallen world with a DEATH SENTENCE on your head. No body can get to paradise without passing through hell.
A ring on my finger? NO! I was born naked with no jewelry on and can't take anything with me when I leave this world except for my faith, hope and love.

Were you abused by someone? Do you feel any joy?
I know it probably doesn't go down to well with the punters, but I like it how you refer to this world as hell. We have to descend into it while we have this human experience, but when Christ awakens us from our sleep we rise from it.

This is a lie. In order to be saved, you MUST repent.
You can't just think you're saved because you believe in Jesus.
Jesus will not acknowledge you if you don't live the way He wants you to.
