How can you tell if someone has the light of life ?
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1John 4:15
Also we know that.....
4 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
5 You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin.
6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous;
8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. 1John1:4-10
Jesus said His followers could not walk in darkness because they would have the light of life.
What did Jesus say life is?
Himself, Jesus Christ !!
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. John 14:6
Jesus also said,
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:10
You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Ps.16:11
"I am the light of the world, no one who follows me shall ever walk in darkness because he will possess the light of life." (Jesus and the son of man)
"The words I spoke to you are spirit and life."
Now, what is it people who follow the son of man have that keeps them from the darkness?
The Light of the world, Jesus Christ !!
24 The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. 1John 3:24
So if it is the light of life that keeps them from darkness and the word of God is life then the light of life is the word of God.
Correct?
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and the Word was God.
Jesus is the Word.
His Life spoke Truth into this world, which lights up, revealing and exposing the darkness, sin in ones life and to the world, amen !!!!
