Please, someone tell me, how is loving someone of the same sex a "lifestyle"?

I understand that becoming religious IS a lifestyle because you try to fit in a certain way of being and thinking, what you can say, eat, think, rituals and ceremonies, etc, all according to a book, that's lifestyle, but sexual orientation doesn't dictate a way of being or behave at all.

Would it be wrong as a Christian to attend a gay wedding supporting her as a friend or should I just stay away from it all together?
It's a surprise to you? Think of the surprise she'd get were she to read the dozens of anti-gay posts you've made on CD.

It's not wrong for a Christian to attend a same-sex marriage if they love and support the couple 100%. Since that's not you... don't go. Send the happy couple a nice gift and be sure you return the RSVP card with your regrets ASAP so they can work on their seating chart.

I just have to add my support!

To share what my friend Mark Sandlin wrote:

I believe that Jesus found this popular understanding of sin (during his lifetime and today) to be far too superficial and simplistic.
When he said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill,” in Matthew:5:17, what he was really saying is, “I did come to destroy how you are using the Law,” (and, thus, how you understand sin).
Good point. What IS "sin?" What is the "Mark" that the "sinner" is missing? (Hint: it isn't a rule somebody derived from scripture study)

If you leave out truth, you have left out Jesus......... The reality of God our heavenly Father. What Warden just shared if you were open enough to read the whole post lacks neither the grace of God or the reality of God.

To see that he'd have to look, and he does not want to do that.

When you resort to personal attack, you have no valid argument.

Its better to pray for your friend rather than celebrate his sins.

Well, the fact that you refuse to learn says something about the hardness of your heart. You are not close to truth and are representing the antithesis of grace.

Go read that 13th chapter of I Corinthians. And that's a pretty tall suggestion from me, since I'm not much on the majority of writings attributed to Paul.

I heard what jimmie had to say, and most likely you, too, before either of you were ever born.

Then I met Christ.
