It's me right ? Does it bother you that some men wear caps in church ( even to communion)? There is nothing in the bible that hints a dress code. Does it irk you to have young and old people running up and down the isle during the whole service!! ( seemingly always up front). Does it bug you that some people scramble about ( beyond a bathroom, sick scramble) during a prayer segment . Are a percent of Christians unmentored regarding rudeness, inappropriate behavior. We had a guy in front of us clinging to his apparent wife , massaging her back, lying on her shoulder, hugging.kissing and carrying on ( get a room!!!). So my point is are many ignorant about etiquette? Should a men's hat be worn in Gods house . My stand ...No ...stop it! Do we lack discipline in our actions based on our evolved come as you are causal gone extreme? If your a squirrel stay in the back and stop running around. If you come in late NEVER think of going up front ....ever once the service has started.......God help me!

Still rules for the church should never apply to people coming into church which never there before , or people can scare these people right out of church and nail them out of any Christian church ....See Jesus welcomes the prostitutes and the tax collector with open arms , as He went after the sinner

I see more as a tradition we are taught. BUT it is still an acknowledgement of HONOR and RESPECT. However, I am not sure if I need to see it as disrespect.

It also tells me that people can and should be comfortable enough to wear what they want that is not demeaning.

We have just been taught from an early age to remove our (men) hats for the national anthem and that tradition is now expected during all "sacred" events.

As you've acknowledged, the only lack of respect being show may be for man-made rules, or for those who made the rules. It's got nothing to do with God, since God didn't ask people not to do any of those things. Why does it matter if a guy is wearing a hat or not, beyond convention? Now, there's something to be said for showing courtesy for the community you're in ... if you know your behavior is making it difficult for others to see or hear something, for instance, and you continue to do so, that's not courteous. But, where do you draw the line? You're saying children (or old people) shouldn't be allowed beyond the back few pews because they have a difficult time sitting still and being quiet? Maybe they sit up front because it's somewhat easier for them to pay attention or hear than when they are banished to the back of the church, so why are other people's needs more important than theirs? And the guy showing affection for his wife, if that is something that bothers you in any other situation, I understand why it was a problem for you in church (it might be for me too, by the way). But not everyone has the same boundaries when it comes to PDA, so that's really just a matter of preference. Whose preferences should take precedence?

1 Corinthians 11... the heads of men should be uncovered in prayer, or IMO when God is being worshiped.

There should be order in church - 1 Corinthians 14.

In considderation for the weakness of others ,it would be appropreate to sit in the back and not be a distraction if you must wear a hat.
God sees you from the inside out , so wearing a hat or not has nothing to do with it .
It would be mor appropreate for one to ask God what one should be wearing IMO, sometimes it matters .
How important is it in you to please God?

"Pray without ceasing." 1 Thess

So to be safe, never wear a hat.
