Possibly, and it would be Evangelical/Fundamentalist Christians doing it when he starts associating with gays, the poor, the weak, the disabled, the outcasted, etc.
And the progressive social wing would love him... NOT!
All would probably seek to crucify Him except those who would be given to Him by the Father.
And since no one knows who that is, would it be fair to say one would be shocked at who is "given to Him by the Father?"
