Jesus spoke of this separation in the story of the rich man and Lazarus.
If you also read the story of the prodigal son with a God conscious mind instead of a sin conscious mind, you will see it is talking about coming to know what's always been........ you were never separated or lacked anything...... but your beliefs stood in the way of knowing it. As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
The prodigal son was separated from the father. Never unloved, but separated nonetheless.
People (minorities, gay people, etc.), other belief systems. My church doesn't tell you who to vote for either
