They qualify as acts of LOVE...something some people need to do more often...
Practically everything on your list are government services paid for by everyone, even those who oppose them to tooth and nail. They don't do it out of love, they do it because they are forced to. If you personally clothe the poor, and do it willingly, and motivated by love, then it is an act of love and a 'good work'.

So, if supporting such actions is an act of love, what is opposing them tooth and nail?

Did Caesar pay for the loves and fishes?
Did Caesar pay for Jimmy Carter?
Perhaps you have a few examples that would be more correct and frightening?
Which ones are opposed tooth and nail and by whom?
How did your parents love you? Or, was it limited to a physical act?
(I think you can answer your own question)
Faith is not believing or making some kind of claim about something; it's knowing.
And, for some reason, you believe or claim that love equates to works, or you must earn it?
As I have said: "You put the cart before the horse."

No, it is not knowing, it is believing or trusting / having confidence in someone or something.
I have not said that is what I believe. It sounds like it is what you believe, which is why I keep asking you to explain it, but as usual, you refuse to answer.

BTW - You are the ONE who kept putting down: works/love.
In other words, it was you who made the insinuation, not me.
Now, go and answer your own question.

Your only intention is to make things done through love, an act of works.
In other words, you equate one with the other; and, call it "good works."
Which merely reduces "laying down one's life for that of another."
As a good work, not an act of love without expecting anything in return.
Dang nabbit, I forgot you also see it as a Penal Substitution to cover your sin.
If, that is the case, it's no wonder you see it as a "good work?"
And, apparently, you had a problem with this:
Faith is not merely belief for it is not blind, there is sound reason for it.

Agape love is a state of mind and is described in 1Cor 13, Galatians 5 and the Sermon on the Mount. you have been told this multiple times, Finn. Why do you pretend to be obtuse???
Amen!!

He is probably ignoring, as he does with many things that expose his misrepresentations of other posters.
