Is there a way, now a day, to tell the difference between Christians and unbelievers other than Christian saying that they believe in Jesus.

The Church nowadays is in such sad shape that you have to ask this important question.

But evangelicals do not accept a simple yes or no answer...the demand PROOF from anyone who says they are a Christian.

Acts 17:11
"Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica,
for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day
to see if what Paul said was true."

Behavior. A true Christian typically will not use foul language, have sex outside of marriage, get drunk , steal, etc. While no one is perfect and people have their struggles, those behaviors shouldnt not be a regular part of a believers lifestyle. Big difference than a slip up and work on it to do better vs doing that same thing every other day.

Well, Jesus said that the way people would be able to recognize His disciples was by the love they showed to their fellow men. That would be one good indicator, although a person would not have to be Christian in order to have some of the attributes Christians are supposed to have. So, if a person claims to be a follower of Jesus and behaves like one, chances are he's a Christian.
