And telling people it is 100% harmless has put lot of people in mental institutions.
Of cause you will deny it but there are many fundamentalists suffering from mental issues and desire to leave the clutches of bible fundamentalistism(especially Calvinism). They are engrossed in fear of escaping what their hearts are telling them to escape. Then those that do escape are stoned with bible verses of how they have fallen away, they were never of us in the first place, the devil has got hold of them or any of the other venomous beliefs that you hold. I have seen it first hand, so you can deny it as much as you want. Just like you deny the danger of prescription drugs and what is contained in them.
It appears that people condemn the legitimate and beneficial use of the marijuana plant for there own selfish/biased reasons, or because a few are irresponsible. Plain and simple "don't drink and drive." Use things in moderation or as prescribed.
Yes. My apologies for not supplying links to my sources earlier. I'm usually more diligent to do so!
Crime rates going up. Huffington Post (One of several sources for this fact.)
-- The article exposes the MANY false claims for crime going DOWN and how they conveniently cooked the numbers.
Actually driving drunk remains the THIRD leading cause of accidents. Driving distracted (cell phones, other riders in vehicles talking, eating, etc) is first. Drug use---of all kinds---is fifteenth.
Quote:
1. Distracted Driving
The number one cause of car accidents is not a criminal that drove drunk, sped or ran a red light. Distracted drivers are the top cause of car accidents in the U.S. today. A distracted driver is a motorist that diverts his or her attention from the road, usually to talk on a cell phone, send a text message or eat food. More on how distracted driving causes accidents
2. Speeding
You’ve seen them on the highway. Many drivers ignore the speed limit and drive 10, 20 and sometimes 30 mph over the limit. Speed kills, and traveling above the speed limit is an easy way to cause a car accident. The faster you drive, the slower your reaction time will be if you need to prevent an auto accident. More on how speeding causes accidents
3. Drunk Driving
When you drink, you lose the ability to focus and function properly and its very dangerous when operating a vehicle. Driving under the influence of alcohol causes car accidents every day, even when they are one the top causes that can be avoided. Always use a designated driver if you go out and drink. More on how drunk-driving causes accidents
----- 15. Driving Under the Influence of Drugs
It’s not only alcohol that is dangerous when mixed with drivers on the road. Drugs, both legal and illegal, can impair your ability to fully function as a driver. If your mind isn’t clear and you don’t have complete control over your body, getting behind the wheel can lead to serious car accidents. More about drugged driving car accidents
So if safety is our concern, let's make it illegal to have a cell phone in the passenger cab---require them to be stored in the trunk of the vehicle. And then let's reinstate prohibition. All great choices if you want to "protect" folks!
Incidentally, your "California" article appears to be 17 years old and produced by a "drug free California" coalition. Mine is from an attorney's office.
Finally, I live in Colorado. And your Huffington Post article, written by a Florida professor is extremely misleading. Here is a quote:
Quote:
The Denver Police statistics showthat summing across all crime types — about 35 in all — the crime rate is up almost 7 percent compared with the same period last year. Interestingly, crimes such as public drunkenness are up 237 percent, and drug violations are up 20 percent.
Drunkenness is up, but the 20% increase in drug violations can hardly be marijuana since it is LEGAL in this state. A violation is something against the law. MJ isn't. A more likely cause is the 1400+ millennials moving into the state. If you will do some demographic studies you'd find that crime rates rise with an increase in people in the 18-29 age group.
Us old folks stay at home at night.
P.S. The biggest headline crime in the Denver area right now is the number of gun stores being broken open and guns stolen. Maybe banning guns from being sold will curtail that. Ya think?

Yes, so did the founding fathers of modern psychology that people accept so readily. Everything we know and adhere to, that people have blindly accepted without question, came from people who readily admitted, in documented, verifiable format, that everything they wrote about psychology was given to them by demons while they were doing drugs like cocaine, etc.,
Secular experts have always warned, and have ratcheted up their warnings, that marijuana is a gateway drug that leads to more drugs, crime, violence, and health issues. All the sources I've given prove it. So, I have no doubt that when you do your drugs and drink your alcohol, that you "know things." Ever wonder where that "knowledge" comes from? Think you're thinking all of that all by yourself because you're brilliant?
You'd benefit from studying these founding fathers of psychology.
FINALLY. First time on a board EVER that someone else has seen this, about these "founding fathers". Which is why I keep asking the question: WHO told you that you have an "ego"? Followed by *crickets*, every time. May He continue to bless your spiritual eyesight. Peace
Good links. I have read similar articles along with medical studies which prove how marijuana use can trigger mental illness/disorders and heart arrhythmia.
Yes there was a study that linked it's use to schizophrenia developing in users who started as teens, by their 20's. Peace
